About Us
In the year 21, following an inspiring recording session in Madrid with my friend Oswaldo Terrones, the idea arose to create a website to share the creative experiments that often come to life in the studio but end up forgotten on some hard drive.
Upon returning to Barcelona, I set up a drum kit in my Raval studio and spent the following months recording beats and ideas that had been swirling around in my head. During my rehearsal sessions, I made sure to set aside time to record new beats using various drum sets. This resulted in a collection of hundreds of loops.
I later reached out to my friend Josep Vilagut at La Masia Studios to propose an idea: to mix those beats and potentially record more of them in the studio. Josep and his partner Javier Bayón were enthusiastic about the idea and suggested dedicating additional studio time to record and explore more beats.
These libraries are the result of this collaboration, which i hope will inspire musicians and producers in their works.
La Masia has evolved throughout the years, from raw recordings in the unique space that is the 15th Century country house where it is located, to settling in by setting up a classic recording studio in the oldest area of the building, filling it with vintage, analogue gear, crafting a creative space where artists and bands can unleash their full creativity.
